Default Lenovo ideapad 310-15ISK repairs/screen hinge

I've had a Lenovo ideapad 310-15ISK for about 16 months and found out the hard way that the right hand screen hinge is a weak point. Mine broke, what happens is the captive nuts break away from the bottom case cover which in turn pops the keyboard up from its clips.

Managed to find a supplier in China for the bottom case cover, ordered one and it was delivered in 9 days!

Spent a couple of hours this morning swapping over the innards to the new bottom case.

Out from the old

Into the new

Motherboard, keyboard, HDD & DVD left to be fitted

Culprit, you can just see the captive nuts on the rear of the hinge and the broken rear cover mountings

Mines now up and running again, so if you've an ideapad 310-15ISK keep an eye on that hinge.
