Default Acceleration issue diesel

Mates diesel has slowly developed a random acceleration issue.
There is a brief delay from pressing the accelerator pedal to the car reaching full acceleration. The issue occurs in every gear. The issue is totally random on any given journey, ranging from very noticeable to not happening at all.

Any ideas?

Default Slow Pick Up

On the diesels it is always worth unplugging the MAF to see if it improves matters since it is easy to do and costs nothing.

MAF starting to break down would be my thoughts also!

My old SLK 320 and C 240 started doing exactly the same and they were both MAF problems!

And there was synical old me thinking you had seen it on E-Bay and fancied buying and fixing it not that I'd blame you , I was one of the under bidders lol. I usually have a cheeky bid on a few dozen cars a week in the hope of getting that set of wheels i need for my 75 heheheh.

Well if it was your car I'd suggest that you and Barney change your trainers, as the grip has probably worn out on the ones you are wearing.
