This is exactly what i did, i used the spare on the front as the tread was getting low. The arrows were going the wrong way for the wheel i put it on.

I understand, they could have rotated the tyre on the rim I guess rather than scrap the tyre, unless it was worn out anyway.

Yeah i guse so or change it with another one to fit the direction, but hey hoe in for a penny in for 400 pound
