Default Electrical parts in boot

HI all,

Do we the club have any photos of the various electrical bits in the boot. By this I mean the likes of the Sat Nav unit in the sidewall of the boot, the two silver boxes in the tyre well just under where the boot lid latch is. I believe one of these may be the TV Tuner ? and the other could be the Radio tuner. Were is the GPS unit in the car, is this in the boot some place or elsewhere ?

Cheers.

These show the two main Units the TV Tuner and Radio & Amplifier.

Its the back of a Tourer not a Saloon but shows the location of units after removal of Black plastic cover.
Take no notice of other unit shown it was being tested.

The Sat Nav (MK3 and MK4) on newer Units has parts included rather than separate on earlier models.
The Sat Nav (CD or DVD player) is normally mounted on R/H side of Load area or Boot area.

This is a view of TV Tuner mounted in its bracket. Forget all the leads, not in place etc and extras fitted.

Default electrical items in boot

Hi John,

Pictures are perfect and show me exactley what I got to replace, very much appreciated. one further question if I may and this may be a bit more difficult to answer.

The large black multiconnector on the unit which sits on the RHS as you look at the car from the rear, this has a multitude of coloured wires going into it.

Due to the corrosion that has set in while they have been submerged in water for the past few weeks, two of the wires have snapped and come loose do you have a close up of the wiring block or a wiring diagram showing which wire goes were.

Cheers,
Andy
