Default Which Compressor?

I've had a nice little bit of pocket money come my way & I fancy wasting it on a compressor, I want something portable with a 50 to 100ltr receiver just for messing about at home, painting bits of my P6 etc. anyone got any reccommendations?
I've seen 2 for sale at very sensible money but have no idea of quality, one's a Wolf & the other's a Nielsen.
Years ago I had a cheap Clarke one which was quite good enough for my use but someone else decided they liked it better

Just make sure capacity is enough to spray with - some cheaper ones fail here

Had Wolf kit before and OK - Nielsen I don't know

Yeah but as long as the receiver's big enough it should manage ok, the last one I had was a 50 litre & was just right for painting cars but I thought maybe a 100 would be better for some other jobs
Seen a 50ltr Wolf for £150 & a 50ltr Nielsen for £110

To be honset, they are all just rebranded versions of the same thing these days. I searched for Nielsen stuff and it looks the same as Wolf that I'm more familiar with.

Machine Marts own brand clarke is also very similar, as are some other brands.

As an example, I just found a Nielsen air hose reel here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEILSEN-30FT-3...item3efd65fd7f

An almost identical one at machinemart here:

http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/pr...pment-air-hose

and they are both almost identical to one I bought from Aldi for £20.

I've noticed the same with Generators like wolf / sip / performance power (B&Q) clarke and so on.

Hmmm they do tend to be much of a muchness, just been scouring the bay & the prices vary wildly, think I might just go for the Nielsen at £110 in that case, be good enough for what I want I think

Mmmmm that's what I was thinking, the only other thought I had was buy a much bigger S/H one but I'd probably end up with a pup

Have you bought yet? Aldi have some 2.5HP ones in today, £80 notes. Looks OK from what I could see. Oil level gauge, half decent air filter, so better quality than some. All the other air tools ar by Walter Werkzeug in Austria but probabl made in China. Bought myself some shears, but they had loads of other toys too.
