Petition re classic car tax exemption.
A certain young 'un has started a petition to get the classic car tax exemption age reduced to 30 from its present 40.
I remember when it was 25 years for tax exemption and that was snatched away to 40, blowing my already purchased (and being run and maintained/MOT'd) vehicles for retirement plan out of the water. Nice to see a youngster in our world taking up the battle. If you're interested in signing search on Google for "Reduce the tax exemption age for vehicles to 30 years" and it will lead you to the government petitions site. I still think that VED or Road Tax should be abolished for all vehicles and the cost loaded onto fuel.
That way everyone pays and the road tax dodgers and foreign registered vehicles pay too. |
