I went the other way Wes. Took out the modern radio/cd and replaced with an original radio/cassette
Ideal for playing my 80s metal tapes
To be honest, I never use it.........just listen to the nice sound of my exhaust, which can just be heard over the whine

Lol, thats great Paul.

I like originality, but I also need some mod cons am I allowed to make allowances for the stereo? Please...

I also fitted a middle brake light, not having one just annoyed me so much.
Why did MG Rover just fit the blanking plate and not the whole middle brake light itself on the early F's?

I have also fitted some Square Spokes, I prefer the square spokes over the 6 spokes... personal preference I guest.

Awesome simply awesome.

Why do I feel need too jump into it and give it a good blast around North Wales mainly around the Snowdon race Trak.

Yours is absolutely stunning Stu what show were you at?

These F's / TF's certainly do put a smile upon ones face don't they? similar to that of the 75's and ZT's, but its a different kind of feeling that manages to reach all those other senses we forgot we had, if you get what I mean.

I suppose its that proper sports car kind of feeling with having just the two seats, plus having the top down makes all the difference, especially when you hear that engine is behind you.

It just touches those parts that other cars cant reach... lol

I gave this question some thought over the past few days, and my answer is YES, I reckon I would...

The problem I keep facing when I get a big job that needs doing is... no one locally wants to work on either MG, I just get told 'good luck'.
I've obviously picked the wrong two MG's to keep, it seems both models with their engine variants are the worst kind to work on.

The V6 ZT is untouchable to all local mechanics, and now I have the same problem with the MGF 1.8i, no one locally wants to touch it. I actually give up.

Why did MG Rover build these cars so difficult? The average skilled mechanic will not work on them, they rather turn the work away. I've had 5 more knock backs over two days regrading the MGF timing belt job, it was the same when I wanted the V6 done.

I've been told the bearing type drone noise may not even be the tensioner or water pump at fault, so I could be throwing money away paying hundred of pounds getting the work done.

I'm going back to old school Toyota, far less trouble and a lot less stress. I may actually give up old cars completely, a new car every 3 years sounds bliss to me.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma I'm faced with a £700 bill for this little F.

Can you ever imagine a cambelt change and the sill sorting would cost this much?

What would you guys do?
