Hi John,

I trial fitted this with a fbh in place don't recall it being close to the exhaust on it.
Can the exhaust turn or move out the way a little?
Can't be any closer than the OEM hose would have been.
Any member with a fbh and one of these fitted able to check for John?

I'll check in the morning but pretty sure it's nowhere near TBH..

The fbh exhaust is bolted to the inner wing so I can't move it away from the pipe.

Hi,

I also thought my original air pipe and also the new silicon one was a bit too close to the FBH exhaust, easy solution was to wrap the FBH exhaust in some boiler insulation rope, easily available on Ebay.

Got round to fitting mine today as well. New Viton rings and new EGR bypass also.
I decided to remove the front bumper rather than struggle with the jubilee clips which were all the wrong way round.
Thanks again to Wullie for all your efforts in getting these silicon hoses sorted out, might not be the cheapest but very well made and the best bit is that it has made a big difference to the car... quicker, smoother and fingers crossed should see improved mpg.
If your thinking of doing it then its a lot easier than you might think.

I was concerned too, so I added a clip on heat shield to the FBH exhaust flue. See my FBH How To via the link below in my sig..

Mine is still on the original intercooler pipe

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I have just fitted my new pipe and have far more clearance than I did before. Mine is a 2 piece pipe if that makes a difference.
