Default Idea for the Professions Thread

Before it goes too far, might it be a good idea to include each member's username in their entry in the thread. This would allow someone wishing to ask a member for help or advice to find and contact them through the site more easily.

Not sure I would want my real name and profession broadcast on a public web site...identity fraud 'n' all...

No one is forced to submit their information to this Thread, only if they are willing to do so.
It may help other members as well as possibly bring you more work contacts but is also for Club to have as well in case help is required.
If you wish to put details as shown but not your real name for any reason, just use your Avatar name.

It is relatively easy to get people information these days anyway.
Voters Roll, Council Tax Band Listing Credit Reference Agencies, I even have programs you just tap in their Phone number and back come the Names and Address of people living there to start a more detailed search.
All these things are so easy now if you need to find info, its the way of this Big brother Country we live in, with more Cameras, Laws, regulations etc in Europe and even now more than the USA.

Only easy if you give out the info. Voters roll, you have a privacy option, same with Council tax. CRAs can only give out your info to other organisations in the same industry?

You are right however in the sense that the info is out there....all one can do is be careful and limit that info as far as possible......hell, I do not even have a Tesco clubcard!
