Check for chafed wiring over the drivers side engine member, it's the wiring coming from the headlight..

There are 2 power feeds from the engine fusebox to the LSM.
If one goes open circuit for whatever reason (engine fusebox fuse failure or poor contact), then you will lose approximately half your exterior lighting, (and if the relevant feed fails), all your dashboard lights.
Check the 2 engine fusebox fuselinks FL9 & FL11 to the LSM, and remove, clean, spray with WD40, and refit the relevant connector (with the thick brown/orange wire and the thick brown/light green wire) under the engine fusebox, and on the LSM.

It is most likely to be a bad contact under the fusebox to the LSM.

Always seems to happen when damp.
A sunny dry day makes it straight forward to fix !!!

"It is most likely to be a bad contact under the fusebox to the LSM".
It happened to my 2002 Tourer.
The problem is, if the bad contact is not cleaned up, one bump, and you can be back to only one headlight and no brake lights just as quickly.
