Default I've got an itch

... to buy an older car, preferably pre 1979.

MK1 Capri will do me just fine, or even a MK3. I looked at a 2.0 Sport just a few days ago, but managed to walk away as I simply was not 100% sure enough.

I would still keep my ZT190 and the TF135, I'm still in love with the MG brand. I've also been considering the MGB and the Midget, but I'm not so sure I want a car that small.

We shall see what pops up in the coming weeks, it will all depend on what mood I'm in on the day. lol

Is there any members here that owns an old classic, 40+ years old?

How about a bright red P5 with a white vinyl roof and all the chrome now that would certainly put ticks in all my boxes.

I had a similar itch 12months ago although I wanted something that was quick enough for today's traffic within reason but looked the part, suicide doors etc. That's how I ended up with the Sunbeam Talbot 90.

Looked at quite a few rust buckets described as " good condition for year" before I found one I was happy with.

Just take your time Wes and be really picky, your car will be out there.
MG Magnette's ( not the new one ) are quickly rising in value now, quick and reliable but can rust before your eyes if you get a bad one.

Thanks Dave, That pic of your Sunbeam amongst the daffodils really is lovely, will I find something so beautifull?

I will most probably end up at my local classic car auction's at some point, I just need to make sure I think with my head and not go with my heart.

Triumph! The Triumph TR4 in red is something I've always admired.

I took this pic at Athelhampton house, the car was beyond beautiful, it was simply stunning.

LOOK! You can see my ZT. Lol

As much as I love my soon to be 18 year old ZT, its just too blooming modern.

If you are after a good MG it is worth keeping an eye on THIS place, down the road from me.

They have recently got a MGB shell from California and are rebuilding it to be an "as new" MGB ready for the summer.

Get that wallet out, Wes.
