Default Ford Probe GT VS Ford Capri 2.8 INJECTION Who will Win ;)

Evening how's everybody, Lordy is getting ready for WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

myself and my mate have decided too that its time too see which of our sports coupes is the best, Great mates and friendly rivalry I say bring it on.

Also getting my roll cage sorted as well and local too which is great
just need the bucket seats and a four point harness and I'm ready too go.

If all goes well that is.

Wyn Lloyd is 100% the man for the job
Other question I have is regarding the dashboard, this thing weighs quite a bit and lightness is key.
Question I want too ask is this.
If I were remove the dashboard and make sure everything's all secure and work also roll cage installed too compensate for this still want too be able too use this as a road and track car.
Will it still be MOT passable?

Dave, don't worry about shedding weight, the capri will spin out on every corner!!

And you will stick to the road following that mammoth burger you ate the other night

A roll cage seems excessive, living with one would be a pain. What's your mod list on the Probe?

Hiya too be honest with the car being stripped of the interior in the last two years gone quite used too it now and having a roll cage wouldn't be a problem.

More then anything I need too keep the weight of the car down as much possible try and get that 0 to 60 timer faster.

Mod list is this.
KLZE cams
KLZE crankshaft
KLZE Fuel injectors.
Also added MX6 Saloon brakes discs and pads including Callipers ready too go on when the probes brakes need changing.
Duel Exhaust system + DE-cat with stainless headers.
So far that's it still want too do more but just got too take my time.

Cool, have you thought about the straight neck and port matching? Had one on my MX6 back many many years ago (miss that car) and it really helped.

Always wanted to supercharge it but at the time it wasn't possible as my autobox blew up.

Have too admit I kinda forgot all about the porting part.
How much did you gain in power?

MX6's do have one thing they have far better gearboxes then the probe's Mazda upped the power on the MX models out of the 626 and probe there MX6 Engines has better bhp and Toque.

That's why so many of them are getting killed just for the engine and box alone there engines were KLZE while the ford probe's and 626 had KLDE Engines.

That's what I've done is build a hybrid engine using the best of the KLZE and best of the KLDE.

Here's what a super charged probe sounds like
one hell of a upgrade.

Close, the JDM had the KLZE whilst everywhere else got the KLDE, the manifold had to be port matched because the ZE and DE has different shaped runners.

If I recall it was good for 15hp but you had to get the VRIS points changed, used to be a box to do that but the tuning scene for these seems to be long gone, I had my MX6 way back in 2005.

If I was to tune one now the best bet would be charging a DE, you'd struggle to find any KLZE engines now.
