Default Trying to replace Hi line system

My75 has a after market wiring harness fitted and I'm trying to refit the Hi line witch seams to be disconnected.
So the after market wiring comes from the back of the radio over the top of the steering column down past the bonnet pull along the inner sill then under the carpet towards the front of the drivers seat .
Have got to take the seat out to this project
Cheers gary

It's quite an important part too Garry; the sat. nav. disc drive/computer.

Have you got any modules in the spare wheel well?

Simon

that is the correct fit radio module a very nice bm 54 back with round pins the later 54 has flat pins which would have required a adaptor which for a good one is not cheap.

The Hi-Line kit is rather old now and things have moved on a long way since then. Originally it had the following separate parts making up the full system..

1. Dumb display/ remote control in the dash.
2. Audio amp + radio unit in the wheel well, antennas in the rear window.
3. Analogue TV / video diplay unit next to item 2, with fancy dual TV antenna in ear window.
4. Satnav / CD unit in the side of the boot, plus nav CD and antenna.

5. Audio CD multiplayer, either in the glove box, or the boot.
6. speaker systems.
Optionally it might be also fitted with the upmarket Harmon Kardon amp and speaker system.

Items 1,2,4 and 5 can easily be replaced with a more modern all in one modern system, which fits in the dash and has modern up to date maps. Item 3 can be replaced with a modern digi TV unit, which works brilliantly on the Rovers dual TV antennas and a modern wide screen dash ICE unit.

Cost of above would be much less than sourcing parts, plus the aggravation to restore the old Hi-line system to working order and the HK system (if fitted) could be retained and used. The Hi-Line was a £2K to £4K option, but was out of date even when newly fitted.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
