I think I'll remove the towbar, I don't need it and I think it spoils the look
remember if you take the bar off you will have to put a crash beam on under the bumper as these are removed to fit it.i no what you mean re the look but it saved my ztt when some one drove into it .if the bracket holding the electrics has rusted i fitted a nice stainless steel one that looked a lot better.if you do buy one get one with a slot in for the wires you would not want to disconnect that lot belive me.

Looking sweet!

Almost as good a deal as my £300 CDTi Tourer! So far I've replaced the upper rear suspension arms, one new tyre, new windscreen wipers, oil and filter change, new air filter and and fitted a modified crankcase breather oil filter kit (whatever that is!). ERG valve cleaned, but didn't need it, the previous owner was good at keeping his tubes clean! Plenum cover bought; and I know I will also require at some stage a new fuel tank strap, as it was an advisory on the last MOT.

All done in preparation for a remap, although at 135hp as stock, it moves pretty well for its size. I'm also in the throws of fitting a new stereo/sat.nav unit, but that's not quite going to plan - radio works, but no sound at all from any music files! Curious!

Like you found out, and now me too, these cars are addictive!

Looks lovely! I prefer the original alloys tho!
One thing on the speedo maybe it was one for the 2.0 V6 engine which was dropped on the MK2.

Lovely car, Firefrost is definitely one of the best colours (just like my saloon). Proves that price and value are very different things!

The alloys were in a pretty bad state and need a refurb, maybe when my list f things to do is smaller I might put them back on.

After I went over it with the DA I was impressed at how deep the colour and shine was, I have a Moonstone saloon and whilst it is the better of the two you never get the same shine
