Well that sort of money wouldn't get me a nice SD1 so I'd probably go for something like this:-

I'd probably buy this Zephyr mk2



Looks like fun putting it back together though...

alternatively, maybe this Hillman minx
because I need a smaller car in a few months. Not sure how sensible daily driving a classic is though.

Nice drive to the Winchester Club Jim, but these rot for fun, and the headlinings......well they generally line the driver's head.

A 1960 Austin A40 Farina, I passed my test in one and have always wanted another one. £7500 would get me a nice one.

My brother had the Countryman version as his first car in iirc '74, he then went on to own a succession of Capri's finishing with a limited edition 2.8 Injection.

I'd just changed employer at the time and my company car was a bright orange Datsun Bluebird 160B, bit of a change from the previous Black Tulip Austin 1300!
