when mine sails of into the sunset next year i am basing its value on the bmw ice fitted and the so called rare accessories so you buy them and i will throw in the car with it.

Returning to the OP; since when have worn drop links been a MoT fail? They aren't part of the steering, and they don't affect the handling unless they fall apart. I've had many a high-mile Peugeot with clonky ARB noises! Never failed an MoT for it!
