Default dash boards with message centre

my zt 190 is fitted with tv nav/message centre
the message centre has lost about 70 percent of its pixels and was contemplating a new dash,,assembly

been told these wont work without programming

i expected plug and play and have my milage reset after ive fitted it myself,,as im not paying a "specialist " to fit the clock pod,,,no way

so if i get new clocks or good used, can i fit them and will it still work,,or wont anything work at all?
cheers

Yes marinabrian is the specialist you require and why so against paying for expertise, knowledge and the investment in expensive equipment?

To answer your question, you can fit it yourself and nothing will work.

I you can supply the IPK, get in touch with T4 operator BigRuss, he is based in the Yorkshire Region. A chip needs to be replaced and the replacement IPK coded to your car.

IM NOT AGAINST paying for recoding with the t4 etc...,,its just im in the garage trade myself but specialise in classic vehicles,so obviously i like to do as much on my own cars as possible as its my hobby .
anyway ,as immaculate as my zt190 is,,ive just chucked a kings ransom at it on repairs,,after selling it (bad move) and buying it back at a later date in lesser condition ,,,as i couldnt find one anywhere with the spec mine has.

not a cheapskate but havin 20 cars or so,,,you gotta keep price down a bit with such a big fleet..

anything i can do on the newer cars is a bonus

Hi, if you get a decent second hand IPK, check it to see if the display is ok, and send me both units, I can transfer the information from one unit to another, no T4 required
And I won't charge you a kings ransom to do so

By the way I take it from your user name, you're a Ford man?
I seem to remember from my days when I worked in Sheffield, that Brook Shaw was at the end of Shoreham Street right next door to Kennings
Ah many a misspent night out on West Street, followed by nightclubbing at Josephines
