Simon, it’s strange but if I take just one photo on a 2 GB card in JPG the reader can see all the RAW files but if I set the camera up for RAW only, then it can’t see any!

Hmm. I'm a bit confused here Pete. Can you clarify?

Do you mean if you take a single shot with the camera set to RAW + JPEG, you can see the JPEG version by navigating to the CF card in Windows Explorer?

Simon, I use the card reader on my Epson Stylus Photo RX640 all in one printer, when I insert my CF card into it , it opens the download program using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard;
I have already created a folder to download too in Explorer, navigate to that folder, and all the pictures RAW & JPG are down loaded into it!
If I click on show as thumbnail then I can see all the JPG’s as pictures and the RAW as icons.
If I click on the RAW icon it opens in Adobe bridge; there I can view both RAW & JPG alongside each other.
The problem came one day when I wanted to conserve space on my CF card and set the camera to take only RAW shots, when I inserted it into the reader there were no photos to be seen; put the card back in the camera set up for RAW + JPG took one photo and the reader downloaded all the photo’s on the card!

I prefer using the standard file expoler to cut/copy and paste the images from the memory card.

It’s not really a problem Simon; as I normally shoot RAW + JPG anyway!
