Default Hose engine to radiator

Trying to help a Swedish owner who has the following question: What’s the difference, besides price, of these two hoses? His car is a 75 V6 year 99, would the later, cheaper one fit?

Regards,

Pre and Post 2001 according to Rimmers listing, I'm sure a V6 expert will be along shortly.

Thanks for the input, apart from the early/late and price, they look identical.

Wondered about aftermarket myself but Rimmers generally state if an item is aftermarket.

Just hoping someone will know if there is/is not a difference, one way or the other.

Regards

Did anyone finds an answer to this - they look identical, both are stated as genuine but the price difference is ridiculous.

Never figured it out and I think that the owner found a s/h one, but I've got pre & post cars outside and will try to remember to measure them as best I can tomorrow - too dark now.

Many thanks. Mine has split so need to get one ordered soon.

I the mean time - I kept the old clips from the last hose I replaced and, rummaging under the bench, have found that a section of Ariel 350 frame has the same OD as the hose's ID so I can see a temporary bodge if I get desperate :¬)

Earlier hose is very slightly longer as the radiator had a shorter elbow. The VIN change point co-insides with the change point for the radiator elbow.

The difference is so very little I think they are interchangeable in practical terms.

Just had an email response from Rimmers and they've assured me that they look the same and the later hose will fit.
Should arrive tomorrow so fingers crossed...
