Default My £300 tourer

So last October I was browsing the forum and spotted this tourer only a few miles away from me. I already have a 50,000 mile V6 but couldn't resist going to see it.

It did have a few battle scars and had been used as transport for the tip etc. Anyway I paid £290 for it with one months MOT. I booked it in and it past first time ( albeit with advisories).

Since then, the following has been done

All belts replaced and water pump
Heating system flushed out as it was blocked
Full service
Replaced the faulty rear door lock
Fitted illuminated sun visors
Real wood dash, wooden handbrake and gearknob.
Fitted the underfloor storage tray and foam inserts
Plenum guard

This was the car when I picked it up

So her it is today after spending two days with the DA polisher, it doesn't look too bad.

Gorgeous. Great work. I think I’ve seen this. Will need to swing by and have a nose.

Thanks for all the great comments.

This car featured in the magazine published by the 75 and ZT enthusiasts club which said that it may have been a special order car, as a V6 on a MK2.

Other odd bits(but probably just down to parts bins) was that it had the MK2 oak dash but Mk1 clocks?

This car could easily have been heading to scrap or breaking at £290 with next to no MOT. I'm glad I rescued it and that I don 't have any more space to store any more. It's an expensive hobby!

Only two jobs left do on it.

The fuel filler lock has broken so that needs replaced

I think I'll remove the towbar, I don't need it and I think it spoils the look
