Default Best Oil and advice

Hello everybody

I am spending a bit of wedge of my tourer. Ive had her six years and she is now my daily driver now i have parted with my Civic. Although i have given her small service every year i am now bought all the service bits from Mat at DMGRS all the filters and i am going to replace all the belts air con and auxiliary drive belt she is the diesel. plus change the gearbox oil

I have been using fully synthetic as she has done almost 206,000 miles i always thought that was best.

Any advice on what oil is best ? is there anything else i am missing ?

Thank you guys

I am a Mobil 1 fan for oil.
oil is the blood of an engine and I go for an oil that is or makes me feel it is a quality oil. Don't wait for it to reach maximum mileage before changing. Change it early as with a good quality oil filter

Im not an oil snob, it doesnt matter what you use as long as you change it regularly (cheap oil - change at 5-6000)

I use Miller oils, good brand, good quality and a good price. Never had any issues.

The big brands trade on their name, but don't get me wrong it's top stuff, but oh boy do you pay for it!

I know I really should have started a new thread, but can I ask - on a related matter - what is the answer to the following:

1 - What is the correct replacement brake fluid for my 2003, Connie Diesel.
That is Synthetic" brake fluid, as we think of it, which has a silicon base
Or Non-synthetic brake fluid (normal mineral brake fluid) is glycol based.

2 - Hiw much do I need to replace the brake fluid completely ?

3 - where is the cheapest place to purchase it?

Thanks for any help.

DOT4 brake fluid (glycol)

System holds about a litre, so you'll want slightly more than this.
Bit like oil, price depends on brand, so depends what you want. I've just put Comma ESP in mine (because it was 5p/litre cheaper than ordinary Comma DOT4).

I would change it all.
I'm not sure on this, I may be wrong but I'm sure it was mentioned on a thread a couple of years ago, that to bleed the system properly you need the assistance of T4 to open the ABS valves. As I say I'm not sure on this but worth looking into
