Hi all what size hole do I need to put in the roof for the shark fin

if you look at the base of the fin.you see it has a square boss.so drill out a hole under the size of the boss. then carefully file it out to a square.

Were the "shark fins" ever factory fitted?

If so, did they bother with any corrosion protection, or did they just bore a hole in the painted body and bolt them on.

all the shark fins where a factory fit the hole for it was punched out of the panel before fitting or painting.the panel for a sat nav has a different part number to the standard roof.and as mentioned the aperture is in fact square so punched out.unless you no off a square drill
