Default Rover 75 beeps on locking AND unlocking after loosing and getting a new key

Hi everyone,

My partner lost the metal part of the only key to our rover 75 tourer. A company made new keys and now the car beeps on unlocking as well as locking!
We have made numerous emails back and forth to the company but they are effectively washing their hands of it. Can anyone pleases shed any light on this issue??? Many thanks!

Beeping usually means there's something open somewhere
Also, make sure your key has the transponder or it won't start

Thanks, it’s always beeped on locking if something is open but it beeps even if nothing is open, plus it beeps on unlocking which seems to be unheard of!
Also this has only happened since they made the new keys (and straight away) so it must be something they’ve done!
