Default Computer read out error

I recently had problems with fuel supply (pump) and luckily it was fixed, however the on-board computer now shows a riduclous range of a thousand miles or so when the tank is only half full. Odd, ist't it?. I can't figure out where the error originates from. Other computer functions are OK (distance, average fuel consumption, speed limit - all these can be reset).
I would appreciate any advice.

regards,

Waldek

Hi calysto

Mine did that when I started the car with a VIS plug disconnected. I just disconnected the battery for 5min and that reset it.

Kind Regards

No problem glad to help. You will need to let the ecu re-learn your driving style and you may find it drives better if the battery has not gone flat or been disconnected for a while.

Just a reminder for anyone wanting to disconnect there battery, Remember to have any radio codes at hand and to shut down your sat nav unit correctly if fitted.
