Default V6 Cam part no's

Hi,

Does anyone know what these cams are out of?

Engine is a 180/190 with the engine number ending in P59.

The cams that are fitted are LGC 1006860 and LGC 1006870. Can not find them anywhere. Just making sure it has the correct cams before fitting.

What I was expecting to find were LGC 000260 and LGC 000270

Any ideas please?

Cheers
John

Hi. The part numbers you have for the fitted cams are not known to me so can you have another look. Look for the numbers that go around the cam.
The part numbers for the cams you would prefer to find are indeed 190s
For the ID on the engine size, you need the first three digits. A 2.5 will start 25K. Hope this helps a bit. Steve

I understand that the camshafts are colour-coded to aid identification. Over to you John.

Are you looking at the large casting numbers written length ways along the shaft before the first cam. If so thats the wrong number. There is an engraved number going around the shaft on the ring between the cam lobes. You may have to clean it off to see it. I have a spare set of 190 cams if you need any. They were destined for Steve until he sorted his issues out

Thank you for the replies. Yes I was looking at the larger casting number and not the number around the actual cam.

Fortunately it has the correct ones installed however someone has timed it up as a 177 not a 190.
