Default Bottom catching speed bumps

My 75 has suddenly started catching the skid pan on speed bumps and the only thing that I can see is the drop links have split where they join the roll bar. the springs and struts look OK. Does anybody have any ideas?

Double check none of the fixings for the under tray have come loose/dropped off. I had exactly the same prob. Thought it was the mudflaps catching but it was the under tray sagging at the rear.

Split rubbers shouldn't cause a car to drop on its suspension by much......
Definitely no broken springs?
Tyres not really under inflated?
Obvious I know and I'm sure you've checked but can't really think of much else that's cause the car to drop.

All still bolted up and you can see the marks on the tray where it is hitting the bumps

tyres checked and ok had a feel around the springs and looked with a flash-light and I can not see any damage no oil leaks on the struts also when you look at the front of the car it seems level across the front

I'm out of ideas..... If the cars sitting at the same level both sides it rules out one side of the suspension failing. As its independent suspension it'd be bad luck for both sides to go at once anyway.
Could it be a road engineering issue rather than a fault with your car?
Is it always the same speed bump that's getting you or is it all if them. Just thinking the roadway itself might have changed a bit, ie, ruts being worn by heavy vehicles, busses etc, either side of the hump.
