Default Jatco gearbox

Hi
Today first move of 75 after 3 months
Lot done other heads timingbelts injetors cleaned ultrasonic bath
Make a air release point with auxiliary waterpump higher as head, air goes up not down
Engine start with 1 click smooth running
But... driving reverse was like normal
But in D nothing happens
In 2,3,4 it drive forward
After few tries it moved forward but looks clutch slipping
Car was standing jacked up on right side for 3 months
Oil looks clean red
Some valves sticking in gearbox?
By the way gearbox was working normally before.
Engine boiling gaskets heads broken
Anyone had has this?
Solutions?
Greets frank

I would suggest that you run the car up to temperature & check the transmission fluid level (using the correct procedure).
Then, if you have 'normal' drive in 2,3,4,5 & reverse, take it for a drive using the gears 'manually'.
You may well find that it will sort itself.
It's worth a try at the very least.

If it moves forward, D should not make a difference.

The selector is an electronic switch and sends signals to the gearbox. Perhaps this can be 'adjusted' to the correct position. Maybe there is even some info on that on here.

Have one automatic that sometimes is close to doing this as well, but ok so never looked into adjusting it.

Sometimes have to give mine a bit of a shake to get it to pick up in D. Sometimes it behaves as though in N.

You need to adjust the selector cable slightly, 13mm spanner, underneath the gearbox.

Put the car in park, loosen the nut (Ensure the cable moves freely) Move the stick from P to N, then back to P, nip up the nut and give it a try

Having to adjust the cable doesn't really explain why the gearbox was working normally before being stood up 3mths ago.
