Seat heating

As our seat heaters are a little too slow on heating and not heating that well, thought of buying and installing this kit: Link

My only question is, is it possible to get those 4 pads under the leather of our seats without havin to cut the leather and stitch it back up?

You wont need to cut anything, the seat covers slip over the seat and are held in place with a combination of clips around the edge and hog rings through the centre that keep the seat cover the correct shape.

I would be careful fitting any aftermarket kit to these cars without checking the amp draw. The standard heaters are probably slow and not that effective due to the fact they don't draw much current. A higher amp draw could fry your electrics.

What do you mean with frying the electrics? And also, is it hard taking the covers down from the seats and fitting them back up? Would it imply any other tools or just bare hands?

I have to say that has not been my experience. How's your battery's state of charge?

I've never had any problems with my battery. But as an example. After I set the seat heater on, it takes about 5 minutes until I can barely feel the heat under my a**

Have a read here regarding fitting uprated thermostats. I replaced mine on my ZT a few years ago and the seats perform much better now. They get nice and warm and stay warm for longer. https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=72198

I more recently fitted them to my ZTT seats and they are full leather and also get nice and warm, much better than before.

i am fitting an aftermarket kit to mine but when taking the leather off i have noticed the faom is stiched to the leather can i just cut these stiches?
