Default Connie Se - (BMW) Alpine RD1BE510 radio fitting?

I've just purchased a Connie SE to replace my old one (dumped its engine oil on the road...don't ask). The new one has a few extras compared to the old one, including a BMW Alpine RD1BE510 unit spare in the boot. It also has a front dashcam fitted, along with a camera fitted on the rear number plate. Neither of these cameras have a screen to view though. I suspect the previous owner either had a screen fitted on a stalk on the dash or used the BMW head?
The question is, is the BMW head any use to me? It looks like the Rover one with the satnav, though tbh I've never really looked at one. Are there other components I would need to connect to it, do I need leads or adaptors, and could I use it as a screen for the rear camera (ie a reversing camera)?
