Default Steering wheel controls Kenwood KRC-394 with Parrot CK3100

As per the title I wish to use a Parrot CK3100 handsfree kit salvaged from my 214 with my original Kenwood wireless in the ZT.

I like the superfast IR steering wheel controls on the Kenwood, however despite the ISO connectors being fully populated in the breakout loom on the Parrot kit, it would appear that the SWC don't operate with it in place

So before I craft some fantastical place to mount the display, and the 300 miles of spaghetti that comes with the Parrot kit, it would be nice to hear from someone who has done this job before

Brian

trikey may be able to help Bri I believe he had a Parrot in his 75 a while back.

I have that kit in both my coupe and 45,both have OEM radio's and both sets of steering wheel controls work.I cant help you on the installation but I do have the CK3100 manual if it's use to you.It does have an istallation diagram in it.

Cheers Mick, I've downloaded the manual for the Parrot, and when the kit was in the R8 it worked faultlessly

I suspect it has something to do with the IR SWC interface, handily enough labelled as "ECU Self levelling suspension" in the Kenwood wiring diagrams in RAVE

I'll revisit the actual interconnects inside the Parrot breakout loom, to make sure they are definitely pin for pin.

Trikey's install by the way is in conjunction with a Highline ICE setup, so slightly different, I know this as I phoned him up with the radio balanced on my lap with a rat's nest of wiring in the footwell earlier this evening

And look at the diagram, it doesn't make sense
