Anyone up 4 a meet in the Surrey area?
As suggested on one of my other posts on the forum, would anyone be up for an evening turn up and show us yours, in the Surrey area?
Trying to gauge numbers interested, so I can organise a venue, but looking somewhere like Cobham, Esher, Epsom, Leatherhead, etc. Any suggestions on a suitable venue where theres a decent car park, you can get a drink and then wander round looking at each others lumps of metal, would be appreciated. My first thought would be the Fairmile in Cobham, or failing that, Epsom Downs tea bar (by Tattenham Corner ) but that would be non alcho drinks. If interested, please reply to this posting with suggestions. Thanks, Micky |

Hi Micky,
You might want to have a look at this post http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=7841 as Aurora ZT-T sorts one out a meet every month and get a few people from a few clubs turning up. |

Yep, I'm up for a meet, as confirmed on another thread.
I've just read a post from Kenneth Stephens who also sounds up for it too. He mentions The Fairmile, Portsmouth Road (between Cobham and Esher) as his preference, which was on my shortlist too. Last time I went there was for a Ford GT40 club meet with a friend who has built a kit version - I drove myself there so didn't even get a chance to experience one of these monsters first hand! I'm on hols from this weekend until Sunday 18th Aug, so would prefer if we arranged a meet after that  . I'll send Kenneth a PM so he finds this thread, and we (and others) can go from there. Cheers, Steve |

Kandyman,
Was hoping to try and make this a local thing. The venue suggested is a bit too far away for an evening. Come-on everyone, surely there must be more than just me and Steve with these fine cars in the Surrey area?? It'll be pretty sad just the 2 of us there!! People will begin to talk and suggest I'm running a blind dating service if its just the 2 of us!! |

Micky,
Now its three! I live in Tadworth and the Downs is on my doorstep and there are a couple of hostelries nearby (The Tattenham Corner and, The Derby Arms). The Fairmile's not a problem though. John |

Thanks for posting, John. That could be four of us then, including MIcky, Kenneth and myself.
But, Surely, there are more Surrey-based 75 and ZT pilots out there, wanting to meet up with fellow enthusiasts in late August/ early September? Think I need to start some posting of flyers on local cars and let them know about the Club! Steve |

Good idea Steve, if you do make up some flyers, email a copy to me and I'll run a load off at work.

Micky,
The flyers Colin has the links for are the ones I was thinking about, and they're rather good. I wouldn't have time to make any up myself anyway!!! Colin, welcome on board  . This is my last post (!) before going on hols, so will catch up with the thread on my return, which will be Sunday 19th..if you could avoid Wednesday nights (rehearsing for a Show), I'd be grateful! Cheers, Steve |
