Default Big innit!

Member on here Yorky recently bought a Chrysler 300C. We met up today in the Midlands for Sunday lunch and Steve let me take his car for a drive

It has the Diesel unit and wow does it go! Beautiful to drive with a superb engine sound. In many ways the interior styling and toys are reminiscent of the 75. But it is a tad bigger as can be seen in the pics R40 looks a bit dwarfed by it all

I think they look great and if I could afford one I would have one but it would have to be the tourer. Also with the diesel being a common rail i'm sure Ron could do something with them to make it fly:lol: .

My local(ish) dealer has six second-hand ones in stock, some diesels, some 5.7 litre petrols  ......all have less than 7000 miles on the clock...now what does that tell you?

That some people don't know a good car when they see one? They are a joy to drive but I can see people not going for them..............in fact just like the 75 and ZT a few years back, or now even!

You might be right Mike...one suspects the mpg of even the diesel might be a tad daunting however.....then there is the question of quality of finish....My wife has an 06 PT Cruiser...beautifully put together in Austria....the 300c does not seem to be so carefully screwed together however...

I would still be interested in a go in one though!

Hi Zeb

Yes Steve mentioned that the build quality of the USA versions has been a problem. Apparently all UK 300C's are built by Steyr in Austria and it does show. A bit too much plastic for perfection imo but the interior on Steve's was very well put together.

mpg is 30+ if you behave and a lot less if you don't, which for a car of that size is pretty good. Mind you I'd have the petrol model you mentioned so I suspect I'd suffer much more lol
