I think the S type is not a bad car at all. Would certainly like to drive one to be sure. The R version has a lot of poke and is good value at the moment. Got good write ups when reviewed (as did the MG ZT V8).
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/us...pe-r-2002-2008 As regards the looks, the front grille is a pastiche of 60's jags, a bit heavy handed compared to the way the 75 / ZT evoked Rovers past without laying it on in trowels. Not a bad design, but definitely looks like it was designed for the american market (cue the orange bumper indicators / reflectors) and everyone else second. I would have either, personally. |

I do like Jaguar but not that particular style. 75 is better looking and the interior far nicer.

Hell of a lot of power for the money and I do have a soft spot for that 'murdered out' look.
I'd love to take one out for a spin and see how they go.

I like the Jag, but I am a huge ZT fan so for me it would be the ZT first.

Having driven both......the jaguar is far quicker and handles like a boat......the zt is terribly slow and handles like a boat
I'd take the diesel versions of both

I don't like that jag, too black for my liking, the picture with the power upgrade unit has writing on it that looks like it was done by a child! (see below!).
I would love to have a V8 tourer with supercharger on-board, but could never afford the outlay let alone the petrol! don't they get like 20MPG or something My diesel is perfect for me and with the remap it fly's, but the growl of a V8 always turns heads...mine turns heads all for the wrong reasons
