I think the S type is not a bad car at all. Would certainly like to drive one to be sure. The R version has a lot of poke and is good value at the moment. Got good write ups when reviewed (as did the MG ZT V8).

As regards the looks, the front grille is a pastiche of 60's jags, a bit heavy handed compared to the way the 75 / ZT evoked Rovers past without laying it on in trowels. Not a bad design, but definitely looks like it was designed for the american market (cue the orange bumper indicators / reflectors) and everyone else second.

I would have either, personally.
