Default LED Light steering wheel & Horn

Finally completed my Illuminated Steering wheel control and Horn push buttons...

Sorry for the blurred photos, did not want to use flash..

Also a pic of my gauges, Boost, Voltmeter and Ammeter, which have replaced the Ashtray.

There are how to's elsewhere... the horn pushes cannot be lit from inside, but there is a gap around the edge, which allows enough light to shine through to make it worthwhile.

I bought a re-covered steering wheel recently, so my old wheel donated the leads in the pic, these were used in the empty sockets on the connectors, either side of the wheel. ( No Cruise on my car ).. pins already exist on the wheel spring thingy!

Power for the lights was easy, as I have already wired UV LEDs into the top of the wheel shroud, these shine onto the Instrument cluster and make my needles glow, ( Painted with UV red ), set against some Klarzy dials.

I had to use a Dremmel to modify the horn push housing enough to allow the LED cables to be pushed right down, and not foul the buttons, but not too difficult...

Anyway, hope you like...

Cheers, Phil
