Lots of cheap Win7 on ebay, that's how I upgraded 2 pc's from XP to Win 10.
If you are still stuck, pm me and I'll loan you one. If I'd seen this post earlier I'd have brought it with me earlier today!

For 37 years I have been a computer engineer and I have never seen an OS that has caused so many people so many problems, MS should be ashamed. Good time to be self employed though!! (Thanks MS)

I am now back on windows 7 and all is working well again .
