Got the re-charged battery back from local garage and told him not bother to come any more (I am sure he could not help- eventually I needed someone who knows Rover very well..) So, made the car ready to go to Kenton tonight -by a recovery service he arranged.
To be Fixed..

Meanwhile, what I can do is, to pray![lool ] that's the starter only and some Not Costly repairs..

Hopefully, I will report back very soon when my car is back and running nicely..

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions & advice

It seems I was not lucky so far.. !

Although Cambelts are fine & Starter changed but still engine not running !!- Seemingly somehow stuck -,

even I did not drive while over-heateD, not for a mile..! & There was a leak (on the last week ) but I saw it was from a pipe loosing water fast while heated.. & All cooling system was also renewed last year -saw the invoices now)
I used to think this type of engines are so much harder than this to be damaged soon (it used to be a perfect car with a extreme-sound engine! before this happened).

Now trying to find out what is other options (if any..) rather than to get a whole COSTLY engine..
However ( judging with what I understand) if Kenton can not repair it then, I would have a very slim chance to fix my car without a major Costly operation!! But I am always hopeful [& searching..] that a solution can be found within my budget - smoothly..
Please let me know if you have any suggestion.

thanks for those that recommended me, always grateful

i went to see the car on saturday. no battery so i hooked mine up via jump leads.
no coolant in the system
starter chewed from trying to start.
belts were on and moving on quick crank

advised to have the car moved to mine, got the guy out, cost 40

changed the starter with a refurbed guaranteed 100
fitted 30
coolant refill, 5 liters?

car did crank, i will only ****** the starter if i keep going - wont start
engine is seized or the starter side is not taking the starter (auto) has seized.
could manually turn the crank wheel, but time and money not available from customer.

i have charged 210 for two transports 1 new starter and my time, oh and a call out on a saturday afternoon, is that too much?

Don't quote every word in your response, I have looked and it is seized either engine from over heating or starter side ********

Default Thanks Kenton

Appreciate you came down and spent time to fix my car.
Regarding the '?' about the price I am sure it is good, & not much on time you spent.

Regarding what you mentioned; car did crank, i will only ****** the starter if i keep going.
;
-I do not have any technical idea to add to the subject, BUT i just wanted to say; it doesn't matter at all if the new starter went.., *****ed up , while trying to fix the engine. (So, if you think its worth to try, test it plz-
it can not damage the engine that we want to throw out!) -

worth a try..???
or is there any other tips o trick? you may think of that might save this rover!?

Thank you very much.

Forgive me if I'm being thick, but if you can turn the crankshaft pulley how can the engine be seized?

Simon

You are not looking at the car!!!! I am.......

I didn't because the customer has no funds, so I kept it cheap
starter changed, engine cranks (briefly!!!!!!!!!) but is seized either i keep going, knacker another starter, or pull the engine apart?
my bet only having stripped 3 V6's in the last month, to the block, i recommend an engine swap? as I CLEARLY stated don't quote every word. i went on the call and started from scratch. KNOW BETTER? please pop down my garage and show me.... if not..........
i do this every day, i also have a fantastic feedback not just here but on many ZT, 75, and MG forums and FB.
