You haven't seen my cable ties, if anything, they'd cut through the undertray rather than the other way around.

Joking aside, the correct fixings will find their way on to my car soon enough, as I just couldn't abide knowing that something wasn't fixed on in the OE manner. Sad but true!

Thumbs up

Hi Chaps, local MDC didnt stock anything like it but they suggested Xpart in Christchurch. Rang Rimmer Bros and ordered 6 for £14.94 incl P&P and they will be here for the weekend. Don't know if they worked out cheaper or more expensive as Xpart but it would have cost me a few quid just to drive from Holbury to Christchurch to get them. So another fun weekend, put undertray back on (Properly this time) and replace the fuse I blew trying to reset the Oil change interval last weekend. Thanks for all your input. Paul

I'd rather buy some cable ties or metal wire and attach it that way.

Nothing like a good bit of British engineering.

I agree newcy, I am going to change mine to some nice stainless domehead bolts (as I have some at home) so I can feel confident when at speed....

Have a look in Demon Tweeks on line catalogue. They show the 'Dzus' fasteners ,(Which is what the original fitted fixings are ) all the bits, washers , clips, and fasteners .. They have different lengths though , and unfortunately I dont know the correct size , because most of mine are on the roads somewhere .
Cheaper than the Rover part when i asked .

Thats why i used the new clips.
I would only use cable ties as a temp fix if the tray starts to move aroung it can cut through the cable ties then its back to square one.
My two penn'th is that I have 3 cable ties on my full length diesel undertray, I don't think I'd want any more: the remaining proper fixings hold the tray in its location, so it doesn't move around, and the cable ties hold the rest of it up.

As in most things, done in moderation is OK!

I have done a quick search of the forum but cannot find anything about availability of these or where to get them quickly. Can anyone help please. Note to self, next time you change the oil, do the tray up properly. Paul
