Default a little help please

hi i have just had me a 99 rover 75, 2L v6 and im having a few problems and i need a little help.

i have had 2 warning light come on the dash but don't know what they are, one is a ring with dashes round the edge, the other is what looks like an upside down light bulb with a ! in it,

my central locking isnt working properly, the rear drivers side door the look come up very slowly as i have to hold on the button for a long time, and the drivers door dose not come up at all. the strange thing is they all work fine when i press the little lock button inside the car and when i drive off the all lock and when i use the fob to lock the door they all work.

i think one of the springs have broken so i need a replacement, what other model springs fit it, btw its a front nearside

hope this makes sense,
thanx for any help shaun

Yep, one of the break system warning lights ABS or Pads maybe.
The other is a bulb failure. You should see a screen ID of which one when you switch off your engine just before the screen fades.
Here is a link to Rover 75 owners manual PDF.http://www.roverclub.cz/storage/Rover75.pdf
You can look it up there.

You should replace springs in pairs to ensure the stability is maintained. You should only fit the springs specified for your model. The springs are colour coded with bands of paint around them. There is also a type code recorded at the time of construction. This can be found on a sticker under the rear seat. Remove the seat cushion and look under the sound insulation. You need the near side and off side codings to order new ones from Rimmer or Xpart.

Also get the spring protectors to prevent any possiblity of tyre damage in the future. There's lots of discussion on these.

I am amazed that the car is still driveable with a broken front spring. They normally pierce the tyre and make it un-movable, mine certainly was.
Or was I just unlucky?
Regards,
Chris.
