Cubby Box additional power socket
Does anyone know if the additional power socket which can be fitted in the centre console can pick the same wiring up as the rechargeable torch which i already have in place ?

Check the wiring where the torch wiring is connected to the fuse panel, if there are Light Green, Orange and and Black cables then the wiring should be there for the socket. If the Orange is not there I doubt it.
The wiring that comes with the torch kit does not have the wiring for the socket, but the wiring that comes with the socket kit does have the torch wiring. |

my cigar lighter is permanently live, which is the only reason I haven't hacked into the feed yet I have the later fusebox so cannot use the supplied plug I don't want the torch to drain the battery |

I've just installed the torch and aux power into my V8. I installed both units myself and then asked a local auto electrical company to wire them on a switched live into the fuse box, using a spare fuse slot on the board so that all was done properly.
Not as satisfying as doing the job myself but for £35 it's good to know that a proper job has been done.
