Default MOTs allowed?

Hi.
Does anyone know if MOTs are allowed after the new lockdown starts?
I have an MOT booked for Monday the 9th.

Hi Melvyn.
I would imagine you can still get your car booked in for a MOT while the mini lock down occurs, your best bet would be to phone up the place you intend to use they will give you the full information.

Therefore my answer is i don't know which is as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

MOT stations were allowed to open during the last lockdown, but a lot closed as people were afraid to go out. The MOT station I use stayed open but with only one tester instead of the normal 3 due to lack of business.

Also November and December will be busy months due to all those 6 month deferred tests.

Deferred also making the most of the extra 6 months but there are weeks left rather than months now. I spoke with an mot test station last month and was told its unlikely they will close MOT tester down next lockdown, was told it just causes to much trouble.

Then think about how "essential workers" will keep there transport on the road to do all that essential work they do.

Its making me twitchy for sure but i to really dont know haha.

I have just booked an MOT for the wifes car for two weeks time, he reckons he is going to stay open if he is allowed too.
