Rover 2006 75 V8 auto heater valve
Hello,
We have a 2006 Rover 75 V8 conn SE which has been losing coolant and we haven't been able to work out where its going. Eventually we have found the leak and its from a valve in the drivers footwell. Its all very congested round there but we have managed to take a photo. I called up the local MG garage who said that it was part number JGE000010 but that was not unobtainable. I then called Rimmers who said the same and also published on line a parts explosion for the heater. Having looked at various other on line images, I really don't thin its JGE000010 that we have. Instead of a metal three way valve with three hoses attaching, its a black plastic rectangular box with a grid of concave indents. I then had an email back from the local MG dealer to say it could be a later valve, JGE000060? I have a photo. Any ideas if this is JGE000060, is it obtainable or can it be refurbished? Many thanks Simon Last edited by simonbruce; 21st February 2019 at 18:57.. |

Rover 75 V8 heater control valve
An update on the last post in case anyone finds themselves in the same position.
It would appear that in the 'run out' (ours is a very late car, not registered until 2006), Rover ran out of the correct valve and so in its place fitted two 'old stock' valves to do the job instead. If you find yourself in this position, the valves are available new from Rimmer Bros as part number JBB100270, originally from a Rover 400 series. Simon |
