Default Manchester to Birmingham question

We are up in Manchester next week and will finish what we are doing around midday on a weekday. We then need to be in Birmingham by 8pm that evening. We could just travel straight to Birmingham but we were thinking of having a bit of a drive around and hence my question........

We are thinking of leaving Manchester and driving over to Snowdonia and to Brum from there or leaving Manchester and driving down through the Derbyshire Peak District and onto Brum. Not knowing these routes which would be more suitable given that we will be wanting to have a meal on route and to be in Brum by 8pm? We will be taking our time driving down and don't really want to get to Birmingham too early.

I am thinking the Snowdonia way might be a bit tight for time and the Derbyshire about right?

Thanks for any thoughts

I would suggest you are correct. Via Derbyshire would make it a relaxed run, with time to spare. Via Snowdonia would be a bit of a race.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Thanks Harry you have confirmed my thoughts. Rather a relaxed run through than a rush

Cheers
