More importantly have you got spring protectors on the front ? They are not expensive and may save a tyre and more as well.

recommended source for springs?
I have a broken rear spring. Best place to source springs for my Rover75 saloon CDT would be where?

I don't really see the point of buying springs to keep in the garage. There is a high probability that one or both will break sooner or later. If you wish to mitigate against this, buy a set of new and fit them now. You will then have the prospect of a few years without any breakage.
