That's why I posted it up, I know some members are insured through AF.

Default Adrian Flux underwriters gone bust

Many of this forum's members are insured via AF and two of the underwriters they use have gone bust - Midas and Enterprise. Worth checking you are not covered by either of these companies..

I reinsured via AF just today, so it was a heart stopping moment, until I checked and found my cover although via AF, was with AXA.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Thank you Harry

Here is a statement from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme which I picked up from the Bank of England website. I hope this helps those affected. FSCS say they will protect UK policy holders if the insurer is unable to meet its obligations.

AF are just a broker, check which company you are actually insured with.

No news about it, nothing on Twitter, nothing on their website. If this had actually happened I would expect there to be something on one of these sources.

The Midas website states that Enterprise insurance have been declared insolvent with Grant Thornton appointed liquidators. It states that at this time all policies remain in force but new contracts may not be issued.

Were it the case that people were not covered by Adrian Flux, they would have contacted customers. The message from the other forum sounds like somebody having a poor understanding of facts and passing on Chinese whispers i.e. scaremongering.

That's quite possibly true, however I thought it best to alert people who are insured through this company just in case the underwriters have gone bust. It's only a phone call required to check on each individual's policy after all
