I've been wanting to test out my newly acquired Canon EOS450D but it's hardly stopped raining since I got it, and there are only so many photos you can take of the inside of your home.
Hi Rod, good morning and welcome to the day You could get yourself a rain shelter/cover for your camera, a plastic hood with a plastic/glass lens. Useful for going out in unpredictable weather The EOS450D is an excellent camera and you have a wide range of lenses with the deal. Maybe you could practice macro photography of the model cars indoors.

Yesterday, the glass floor in the bedroom was replaced with a wooden floor. The glass was too heavy to be lifted from the beams and it had be cut and dismantled to get it down the stairs, done in a day Hopefully I can get back into photography.

Good morning Jenny, how time flies since I saw you at the House of Shiner and I am pleased to hear your getting the Rover 75 back. It was a pleasure to meet you and find out about your time in South Africa and Kenya. You are nice person and a very interesting lady ..........Talking of Kenya, a new road has opened up going all the way from Nairobi to Ethiopia, 730 miles. Jessica has said we should drive up. I need to find out about security for the route and if motorists need a police escort or for some of the remote sections or not, because of bandits and the availability of hotels along the way.

I am almost out of the Shingles. Apart from that, everything is great.

Ended up just about sitting on the heater shivering. In my bed by 8:30. Don't feel so bad this morning.

Afternoon all, It's a miserable drizzly day here. A parcel I've been waiting on has shown it to be 'Out for delivery' on the tracking site for over two days now
I made a boo boo with that new (used) HD widescreen PC monitor I bought, nowt wrong with it, fantastic picture quality but I picked the one with no in-built speakers So I've ordered a soundbar for it.

Comfort food day so I've just made a cottage pie for tea, Yum.

Cool

Morning everyone from gale lashed Saltash.

Winds of 50-60mph and torrential rain all night, hopefully easing off now.

Hope everyone else is safe with no damage.

Morning Bob, morning all.

The gales haven't arrived yet but are forecast for later.

Dad and I cancelled our weekend on the boat because of the forecast....that and having a cold made the decision a wise one me thinks!

Off to the cat rescue later, might get some pictures of 'Soggy Moggys'

Take care out there all of you, especially if you're travelling.

Morning all, It's grey & raining here.

I've been around to mu younger brothers this morning, They got burgled whilst they were both out at work yesterday afternoon.

They've made a right mess crowbarring the patio doors open, PC's Laptops, phones & their Christmas holiday money gone that they were saving to rent a cottage out in the Lake district over Christmas.
