Morning fellow Forum addicts - it's another cold one, but at least the sun is out, so it 'looks' warm.
It's my son's 40th birthday a fortnight on Friday, so I've just organised his birthday prezzie - a voucher for the local autodrome, where he gets to drive 6 laps under the supervision of an instructor. The voucher entitles him to choose any one of these cars:
Lamborghini Gallardo,
Ferrari 430,
Aston Martin,
Porsche 911,
Audi R8
Subaru Impreza Sti
Ford Mustang GT.
Lotus Elise.
I'll be interested to see which he chooses - my money is on the Lambo.

What, no 1.8 Rover 75 on the list

My arm feels like the Pharmacist used a 6" nail for the flu jab yesterday!

I doubt I'd ever get in or out of a Lambo these days Hope he has a great time at the track.

We have a ton of vegetables that need using up before shopping day so I'm making another batch of soup, chicken, lentil & chickpea and leek & potato soup.

I might get in but probably need the services of a chiropractor to get out again. My father, who was a similar build to me, got a lift in a MG Midget years ago, had to get out on his hands and knees.

Evening all, it’s finally happened, I have hit the bottom. I didn’t sleep very much at all last night, everything to do with the funeral is organised but I have reached breakdown stage, and had to stop before I become of no use to anyone.
This afternoon I switched the phones off and went to bed, managed to get about 90 minutes sleep before I was woken by the kids next door playing in their garden. My mum is getting very forgetful and her short term memory is shot,so tomorrow someone from the memory clinic is coming to visit her and I need to be there. Being a staunch catholic she wants to go to mass on Friday and wants me to take her, but I can’t Get don’t go to church now, and it’s a 30 mile round trip to take her. Luckily my wife has stepped in, I need to rest for a bit now.

Need to pace yourself Rich or you're going to end up burnt out. Take some time to yourself, nothing to do with funerals, family etc. Anybody you can just sit and talk to?
