I do hope that this trip goes ahead as this appeared yesterday......
" According to the Stratford upon Avon Herald, the owners of Wellesbourne Mountford airfield have served what amount to eviction notices on all occupants/business owners at the airfield as of this morning. This leaves the future of XM655 in serious doubt and trouble as it would seem some form of deal between the proposed housing developers and airfield owners has been made. Whilst no planning permission has been given for any development yet, it would seem likely that if the airfield was in an unoccupied/vacant position it would be easier to gain permission. "

Certainly the future does not look good for the airfield or of the Vulcan but at present the visits should be OK. As I understand it the airfield will cease operation as of the 24th December 2016 as the airfield operating company, Radarmoor, (holders of the CAA licence) have been served notice for then. After that history will give way to the developers bulldozers and the scrap man.

As soon as I get any further info I will let you all know but at present take it that the visits are happening as planned

Hi there,
I would be very interested in this, if there is still availability. I would probably prefer the Sept date if possible.
Thanks
Chris
