Phil, forgive my ignorance of your trials & tribulations deeply sorry to have missed all that's gone on, been tied up with the sale of the house & purchase of a bungalow, so my mind's been all over the place no excuse though, so pleased to read you've come through all of your operations etc in good health & humour, Hopefully see you both soon next time you're oop north.
The very best wishes, Ronnie

It was good to see you too as I'm sure Jeff would agree and thanks to Jessica for taking the pics

In my book Ronnie, you have always been considerate and never ignorant - a gent. Anyway, You had a tough year and we are happy to hear you have found a lovely bungalow to live in. A time of change for both of us and for the better. I am still quite sore from the surgery and on heavy duty analgesics. The morphine makes me sometimes forgetful and confused, a little high. Hopefully, I will be off the stuff in a couple of weeks. I am house bound, getting around using a Zimmer frame and crutches, still doing exercises to build myself up. I will need to be strong, if I am to get back up Norf again

It's just been a week since I was carved up, so I think I am doing well. I have been off the analgesics for most of the day and trying to do the exercises before the legs waste away or I get another clot. Periodically I get up and move around. The blown up leg is less swollen and there is no sign of infection seeping through the dressings. Occasionally something stabs at the leg, as the body battles to adapt. Apart from that, I am in great form, except at night when the pain is unbearable ....sorry run out of thanks

You're doing absolutely briliiantly to be up and about so soon Phil, as for the pain, well that is just a case of grin and keep telling it that you will not be beaten. It will bloooody hurt but that is better than not feeling the pain if you know what I mean, I'm looking forward to meeting up again next year at a meet so we can have a proper catch up.

Take it easy Phil, and don't do so much that you undo all the good work before you're fully healed.

I am surprised to hear you are still in pain after a week Phil??

The wounds should have pretty much healed up, although non to strongly bonded yet. Some pain when you move is to be expected, but what is it that's hurting you exactly? ??
