I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know.

I've stumbled upon a thread by Jules,

the resisters he's selling may be my answer?

Looks like I'll be taking off my front bumper sooner rather than later!

So much for buying a one owner from new well looked after car with " no faults "

All little niggles that can be sorted out, most of us have had to do it when first purchased, I had to go over mine which I purchased in Nov 2018 I am just about up to date with all of the jobs now

Many years ago my resistor had gone. No slow speed but it did spin up fast when getting to hot. (Jules advises this isn't good for th system) I rang Jules and he sent me a resistor. A few years latter th compressor pump was slightly noisy. Took it to Jules and he put in th correct amount of AC oil and refrigerant... If it was me id make a appointment and visit him and get it all done in one go. My AC is perfect now. Good luck.

Pretty certain yours will be an older three speed fan with worn brushes taking out the low and medium speeds.
If it were a two speed with resistor the high speed would cycle on and off when stationary and the A/C was on.

Dave he could have as I have seen 2005 before have the four wire three speed fans fitted even though you would expect them to have the silver resistor fan fitted.

If he can check for us it would be of great help to him & us

From what little I can see peering through my front grill, the pics posted of the resister look about right.
I've put my back out yet again so it'll be a while before I'm up to removing the front bumper to check it out properly.
